  1. I love your podcast and have been a fan from day one. In discussing Kate's theme I am not sure if you are aware that it is brilliantly based on Bernard Herrmanns's theme for Marion in Hitchcocks's Psycho. The theme is called Temptation and it is used for Marion (Janet Leigh), who, like Kate is running and hiding from the law.
It is musically brilliant and Giachinno is genius for using it. I noticed it immediately the first time I heard it in the opening scene of Kate driving up to the motel. It is a big shout-out wink to music and film historians, like myself.

You can hear a short sample of it here. The title is "Temptation"

Thank you for such an interesting and enjoyable blog.

  3. Hey Matt,

I didn't see last night's recap call on here, but after seeing "Lighthouse" i want to get feedback on the idea that the flash sideways are actually the end of the show and the loop we've been seeing the entire series - http://silverlaketosoho.com/blog/entertainment/lost-so-far-thoughts-up-to-6-06-2/#loopimage
